Hunter Biden’s Former Business Partner Claims Biden Family is Corrupt

During a segment Tuesday night with Tucker Carlson on Fox News, a former business partner of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, claimed that the Biden family is corrupt. During the segment, former business partner Tony Bobulinski claimed that Hunter Biden’s connection to a former vice president allowed him outsized influence with private companies overseas.

One of Bobulinski’s claims includes an email regarding Hunter Biden’s dealings with Oneida Holdings. He asserts that Joe Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, held a twenty percent stake in that company in 2017, something that Bobulinski saw as suspicious.

He referred to an earlier email that held that Jim Biden would be a ten percent owner of the company, not twenty percent.

Bobulinski Levels Serious Accusations

During the segment on Fox News, Bobulinski levelled serious accusations of criminal conspiracy and corruption at the Bidens. However, his claims have caught barely any traction in major media outlets. The reasoning for this is disputed.

Some claim that Bobulinski’s claims are nothing more than an unfounded conspiracy theory, while many conservatives feel that the story is being silenced due to a media bias.

The truth is likely somewhere in between. Bobulinski’s credentials aren’t ironclad, and he could be trying to rock the boat before the massive 2020 election. However, Hunter Biden’s history with overseas companies has remained a lingering question throughout the election season, and media outlets have seemed hesitant to run with those stories. Their hesitance could be ascribed to a lack of coherency in the narrative, however.

Smear Campaign or Serious Corruption?

In 2016, the case against Hillary Clinton was rather clear-cut. The dust was still settling from the Benghazi scandal, and Clinton’s deletion of private emails relating to the incident was major news. When a Wikileaks info dump full of Clinton emails became public in the weeks before the election, the narrative was clear: Clinton lied and deleted the evidence to cover it up.

In the case of Hunter Biden, however, the narrative isn’t so clear. Hunter is no politician, and, indeed, is rarely in the public eye. What he is accused of seems nebulous to some. Some accuse the young Biden of corruption, using his father’s name to earn himself a higher spot in overseas companies. Others accuse him of double-dealing, though there doesn’t seem to be any firm evidence to back any of these claims.

As the election draws near and the evidence against Hunter Biden seems to be circumstantial, claims like Bobulinski’s become harder to believe. Many GOP strategists would rather that incumbent Donald Trump would focus more on the issues than on Joe Biden’s son, as the line of attack against Hunter seems to be having little effect on voters.
