Are the Democrats Putting Politics Over People with Coronavirus Outbreak?

The Democrats appear to be criticizing the Trump Administration at every turn when it comes to the coronavirus, which begs the question as to whether the Democratic Party is politicizing the outbreak and putting politics over the welfare of the American people.

Democrats and mainstream media are trying to portray the image that President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are both incompetent and incapable of dealing with the coronavirus outbreak in the US.

At the same time, President Donald Trump is accusing both Democrats and mainstream media of overhyping the situation and creating unnecessary panic and anxiety in America.

Democrats: Politics over people with coronavirus?

All one has to do is read the daily headlines from the left-leaning mainstream media and one has the immediate impression that Democrats are playing politics when it comes to the coronavirus outbreak.

When President Trump took early action by restricting travel from China into the US, Democrats called him a “racist.”

Trump is now being credited with slowing the spread of coronavirus in the US due to his proactive travel restrictions.

“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that, right?” Trump said during a rally in North Charleston, South Carolina. “Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ They go, ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ They have no clue. They don’t have any clue.”

All one has to do is read the headlines from mainstream media and comments by Democrats, and it is obvious that the criticism of the Trump administration over coronavirus is relentless.

Pence: “Set the politics aside on this… and work the problem”

Vice President Mike Pence has said that claims that Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus are “justified.”

Pence called on Democrats to work together with Republicans to protect America.

“What the President’s charged us to do — in my conversation with Speaker Pelosi, with Senator Schumer, my conversations with Republican and Democratic governors — is to set the politics aside on this and to work the problem,” Pence said during an interview with CNN.

Trump says Democrats and media, working to “inflame the coronavirus situation” with “fake news”

Trump called out the Democrats and mainstream media in an early morning tweet on Monday, accusing them of trying to “inflame” the situation with “fake news.”

Trump tweeted: “The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant. Surgeon General, ‘The risk is low to the average American.’”

Mainstream media causing unnecessary panic

The doom and gloom headlines filled with hyperbole, aided by quotes from Democrats, that the mainstream media is continually rolling out appears to be aimed more at serving their own purposes of ratings and making money.

This exaggeration of the facts, often contrary to what the Surgeon General and other healthcare officials are saying, is having a disastrous effect on the American public.

People are panic buying, leaving store shelves barren. This results in uneven distribution of food and other vital supplies to Americans, all when it’s completely unnecessary at this point due to a false hysteria perpetuated by mainstream media.

Mainstream media’s relentless attacks on Trump over coronavirus

Trump can do no right with coronavirus, according to Democrats, and with the help of the mainstream media, the president is being criticized at every turn. Here are a few of today’s headlines:

“Trump dodges responsibility as coronavirus spreads and markets crash,” – CNN.

“The coronavirus is coming for Trump’s presidency,” – the New York Times.

“Trump Overruled CDC Coronavirus Warning the Elderly Not to Fly,” – Rolling Stone

“Trump Shook Hands with CPAC Chairman Exposed to Coronavirus,” – people.

When President Trump named Vice President Mike Pence to coordinate the government response to the coronavirus, Democrats immediately pounced, criticizing the appointment.

Democrats criticized Pence over how he handled an HIV outbreak in his home state of Indiana, blaming him for the outbreak that occurred there in 2015.

Mainstream media immediately jumped all over slamming Pence. Negative and doomsday headlines emerged…

“Mike Pence shouldn’t lead the coronavirus taskforce. He can’t be trusted,” – the Guardian.

“Mike Pence’s ‘High Risk’ Coronavirus Response Will Impact His Political Future—and American Lives,” – Time.

“‘Science Denier’ Mike Pence In Charge Of Coronavirus,” – Huffington Post.
